Hamas official says Schalit won't be released until prisoners freed.
Hamas official Khalil al-Hayeh said that Gilad Schalit will not be released until Israel meets all of Hamas's demands while speaking at a Gaza rally Saturday.
Al-Hayeh also said at the ceremony that Israeli intelligence is trying to gather information on the location of the kidnapped soldier, according to reports by Ma'an news agency.

Al-Hayeh said Hamas security interrogators had been informed that many attempts had been made by Israeli intelligence to obtain information about Schalit.
"All of Israel's efforts will fail until Schalit is released by the will of Hamas when Israel releases Palestinian prisoners," Al-Hayeh said at the ceremony to commemorate Prophet Muhammad's night journey.
Al-Hayeh added that Hamas is ready to conduct serious negotiations with Israel in order to finalize a prisoner swap deal.
The Schalit family with met Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu and his wife, Sara, on Friday, after the Netanyahus returned from their state visit to the US, to discuss the government's efforts to free their kidnapped son, IDF soldier Gilad Schalit.
The Schalits left the meeting disappointed. "We did not receive any news today, that can calm us," said Noam. He continued, "the prime minister did not tell use anything new. We will not leave the protest tent [outside the prime minister's official residence] without Gilad."

'Hizbullah: Israel preparing something'
By JPOST.COM STAFF

Sources tell Arab paper the organization is on high alert.
Israel is "preparing something" for Lebanon and Hizbullah is on high alert to prevent it, unnamed sources in the group were quoted by London-based newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat as saying Saturday.
The IDF recently declassified and released high-quality intelligence of Hizbullah positions in southern Lebanon. Many interpreted the IDF's publicizing of the intelligence as an attempt both to deter Hizbullah attacks and to prepare the Israeli public for a future war should it be deemed necessary.
The Hizbullah sources claimed the photos were fabrications, but said "we are avoiding any heated exchanges because we want the Lebanese's summer to pass quietly and without incident."
Hizbullah's deputy Secretary-General Sheikh Naim Qassem on Friday said Israel would suffer tremendous casualties in the event of another war.
In an interview with Syrian television cited by Press TV, Qassem said: "If the result of the July [2006] war was a failure to the Israelis, then Israel would suffer a big loss in its next aggression."

Sending Hizbullah a message: Israel is ready
Editorial: The IDF fights back
Qassem's remarks came on the fourth anniversary of the Second Lebanon War and were considered a response to the IDF's release of the photos.
On Wednesday, top IDF officers revealed that the air force today has thousands of designated targets it can bomb if war were to break out. Some of them, like those that appear on the maps of the southern Lebanese village of el-Khiam that were declassified on Wednesday, are of arms caches, command-and-control centers and rocket launchers. Others are likely long-range rockets, like the highly accurate M600 or Scuds, which Syria is reported to have recently transferred to Lebanon.
In the four years that have passed since the Second Lebanon War, both the IDF and Hizbullah have been busy studying their mistakes and implementing the necessary lessons. The IDF significantly increased training regimens, developed and procured active-protection systems for tanks and armored personnel carriers and is investing in building new urban warfare training centers due to an understanding that the next conflict would be fought in the narrow streets of southern Lebanese villages.

Hamas Sends Patients to Israel for Care
by Maayana Miskin
Ichilov hospital in Tel Aviv treats up to 100 patients a month from Gaza, and often Hamas takes the role of middleman between Gaza residents and the Israeli hospital, Ichilov Director Professor Gabi Barabash said Thursday. Barabash spoke to Deputy Minister Ayoub Kara, a resident of the Druze village of Dalyat El Carmel near Haifa, who was touring the hospital and viewing its care for foreign Arab patients.
In addition to caring for patients from Gaza, the Ichilov staff treats many citizens of foreign Arab countries, including those that have no diplomatic ties with Israel. They all receive dedicated care, and the relatives who accompany them are provided with free food and a place to stay, Barabash said.
Kara praised the hospital's care at the end of the tour. Ichilov treats all of its patients equally, he said, but it is not the only one, and hospitals throughout the country send hundreds of people home to Gaza in good health each month after they arrived in Israel suffering from serious ailments.
He condemned Hamas for benefiting from the arrangement while giving nothing in return. "The time has come for Hamas to give us something small in return," he said, "to release a single son of ours, who has been held for four years with no medical care, in exchange for the hundreds of people whose lives Israel saves every month."
Kara called on Arab countries to take action: "I call on those Arab countries that are aware of how much we give them when it comes to medicine to call for Gilad Shalit's release as well." Shalit's release would "make the peace talks much more meaningful," he added.

Libyan aid ship on way to Egypt

After diplomatic efforts, Gaza bound ship will now dock in Egypt.
After intense Israeli diplomatic efforts, the Libyan aid ship headed for Gaza was expected to dock at an Egyptian port, according to AFP reports Saturday.
A Greek shipping agent for the Libyan vessel said that the documents indicate that it was expected to arrive at the the El-Arish port, Egypt.

The Gaza aid vessel carrying food and medication set sail from Lavrio, south of Athens on Saturday.
The ship, which was docked at a Greek port and flying a Moldovan flag, had intended to set sail Friday. It was carrying humanitarian aid as well as activists intending to reach Gaza, and was funded by an organization headed by the son of Lybian leader Muammar Gaddafi.
According to reports, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman held talks with his Greek and Moldovan counterparts in recent days and agreed with them that the ship would not sail to Gaza, but would be diverted to the Egyptian port of El-Arish.
On Friday requested that the UN step up efforts to prevent the Gaza-bound ship from setting sail.
In an in an official letter to UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, Israeli Ambassador to the UN Gabriela Shalev requested the international community use its power to halt the ship.
"Israel calls upon the international community to exert its influence on the government of Libya to demonstrate responsibility and prevent the ship from departing to the Gaza Strip," the envoy said.
"Israel reserves the right under international law to prevent this ship from violating the existing naval blockade on the Gaza Strip," Shalev told Ban Ki Moon.
On Friday officials from the Libyan organization told The Associated Press that the Amalthea would leave no later than Saturday from the port of Lavrio, south of Athens, carrying 2,000 tons of food and medical supplies, and 27 people on board.
"The declared intentions of this mission are even more questionable and provocative given the recent measures taken by Israel to ensure the increase of humanitarian aid flowing into the Gaza Strip," Shalev stated in the letter.
Amalthea's journey to Gaza was expected to take up to 80 hours. Aid on the Amalthea included sacks of rice and sugar, and corn oil and olive paste mostly donated from Greek companies and charities, organizers said.
The Israeli ambassador asked the UN and international community "to discourage their nationals from taking part in such action" and "expects the international community to ensure that this ship does not sail."

Detroit: Thousands mourn designated terrorist Hizballah cleric Jihadwatch
In the words of his admirer, the Islamochristian and former CNN Mideast editor Octavia Nasr, Fadlallah "hated with a vengeance the United States government and Israel," "regularly praised the terror attacks that killed Israeli citizens," was a Holocaust denier, and was "designated a terrorist by the U.S. Treasury Department."
The mainstream media constantly demands of us that we assume, without examination, that most Muslims in the U.S. -- all but a few "wackos," such as are found in "any religious group" -- are loyal citizens who love Constitutional liberties, abhor jihad terrorism, and have no intention of bringing Sharia here, at any time or in any way, in whole or in part, now or in the future.
So why would "thousands" of Shi'ites in Detroit be mourning this cleric, who green-lighted the 1983 Hizballah attack on the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, killing 241? Hizballah's founder Hassan Nasrallah has said, "If they (Jews) all gather in Israel, it will save us the trouble of going after them worldwide." Wouldn't patriotic, pluralistic American Muslims oppose Fadlallah, and not engage in such a public display of mourning, simply as a matter of principle?
Or could it be that we've been sold a bill of goods about what Muslims in the U.S. really think, and need to examine that subject much more closely?
Meanwhile, the noble Niraj Warikoo of the Detroit Free Press tells his readers that this bloodthirsty jihadist was "controversial." Yes, the U.S. government makes some claims about him, but the Muslim leaders mourning him in Detroit say those claims are inaccurate, and well now, that settles it, doesn't it?
More on this story. Tiny Minority of Extremists Update: "Popular, controversial Muslim cleric mourned," by Niraj Warikoo for the Detroit Free Press, July 10:
Thousands of Shia Muslims in metro Detroit are mourning the death of Sayyed Mohammed Hussein Fadlallah, a Lebanese cleric who was enormously popular locally but controversial to his critics. Six nights of memorial services at three Shia mosques conclude Sunday at the Islamic Center of America in Dearborn.
Fadlallah, 74, who had been ill, died Sunday. He was considered a top scholar in the Shia Muslim world, a grand ayatollah whose views had a great deal of influence on everything from marital relations to women to politics. In Dearborn, he was probably the most respected cleric among Lebanese-American Shia Muslims, according to experts and local leaders.
Speaking to hundreds this week inside the Islamic Institute of Knowledge in Dearborn, Imam Mohammed Elahi of the Islamic House of Wisdom in Dearborn Heights said that Fadlallah was a "man of peace, man of justice ... a man of antiterrorism and antiviolence."
The U.S. government, however, considered Fadlallah to be a terrorism supporter and spiritual leader of Hizballah. It says he sanctioned the 1983 bombing of the Marine Corps barracks in Beirut. Fadlallah's supporters say those claims are inaccurate and that he often criticized terrorism.
To many, he was seen as a progressive who was a strong supporter of women's rights....
Yes, as a Sharia supporter, he no doubt strongly supported a woman's right to be beaten if disobedient (Qur'an 4:34), to be one of a stable of four women (plus slave girls) servicing a man (Qur'an 4:3), to have her testimony counted as half that of a man (Qur'an 2:282), etc. etc. etc.

Crazy Liberal Multi-Cultural Poltrons! Even you must realize that Moslems are not immigrants. They are invaders.
They do not come to the west to live as free citizens. They come to use our freedoms to enslave us under Sharia Law. Time to man the barricades!

Undoubtedly thousands of misguided pathetic morons mourned Hitler, too.
And Idi Amin and "Uncle Joe" Stalin and Mao and of course our very, very favorite - Mass-Murderer Mohammed.
Evil attracts some people and that's just how it is.
So, when will Michigan be officially re-named "Michi-ganistan?" In about 50 years?

This is why the Jihadi's are able to be, by our definition, terrorist. Their definition of terrorist is not the same as ours. The Terrorist is just "misunderstood"

Muslims honoring Muslim terrorists are just showing their true colors.....when they feel strong enough...they will really show their true colors...just like their co-religionists in Gaza, Pakistan, Niger, Indonesia, Afghanistan, Somalia, Yemen, Iran, Egypt and anywhere else where Muslims are making the red blood flow....
Jaladhi | July 10, 2010 7:22 AM | Reply
It only shows these Muslims in USA to be fifth columnists. They have no loyalty to the country they live in!!! Their only loyalty is to Islam and Muslims worldwide - the ummah.
When would our political leaders, and MSM accept, recognize and widely disseminate it. Either Muslims learn to be loyal to this country or any country where they live or they should pack and go live with Muslims in Somalia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Saudia, etc, etc,..!!

@pular182:
Absolutely.
If Judaism is practiced to the utmost religious T, you would not have murder and mayhem.
If Christianity is practiced to the utmost religious T, you still don't have the decimation that Islam has
If you have Hindu's practice their religion to the T, you don't have the dust ball of non life preserving creativity that is now the Middle East.
All religions bring people together. That is the reason FOR religion. It's inherently social. But it's ONLY in Islam that The "Religion" brings people together to murder. Mohammed, who never had, peace upon him created a Cult or Ideology or Religion that, at it's core, had no foundation. The foundation was that of REBELLION and conquest. That is an empty core. It devours it self. It's basis is of DESTRUCTION. It's EVIL all the way down to it core.

OBITUARY: Don Fadlallah (born 16th November 1935; died 4th July 2010)
Don Fadlallah sleeps with the fishes. Fortunately, however, he gave us another reason to celebrate the 4th of July.
He was born in Najaf, Iraq; in 1928 his parents migrated from the southern Lebanese village of Aynata to study the 'theology' of a paedophile, desert warlord, in Najaf. Consequently, he grew up hating and spent his life hating; hating everyone who wasn't a Muslim and especially hating the Jews. In fact, like most of the Medina Mafia, his hatred sprang from a pack of lies, plagiarism and invented Arab history. Hatred inspired him to found a terrorist group, Hezbollah.
Don Fadlallah was/is respected and admired by Death Cult psychos everywhere, and he also managed to hoodwink a few 'useful idiots' into thinking he was the bees-knees when it came to peace and womens' rights.
Ironically for the Death Cult of Islam, Don Fadlallah's pointless life of visceral hatred came to an end on the day that America celebrates its nationhood.
What has Don Fadlallah left behind to add to the world's sum of human knowledge and to better mankind? Nothing, absolutely nothing. Sad, isn't it.

His obituary could be replicated to every Muslim. When I say Muslim, I mean every person who follows ISLAM and accepts sharia. Any Muslim that doesn't is just a Middle Easterner.

The dynamic is this: Islam empowers the most ruthless, and therefore the most ruthless are drawn to it.
