'Imported' Rocket Used in Gaza Terror Attack on Israel
by Hana Levi Julian
Palestinian Authority terrorists in Gaza launched a number of rocket attacks on southern Israel on Saturday.
At least four rockets and mortars were fired at Jewish communities in the Gaza Belt region throughout the day, including one attack on Kibbutz Nachal Oz. Several rockets exploded in the Ashkelon Regional Council district.
No one was wounded in any of the attacks.
One of the missiles appeared to be a special "import" - a more advanced version than the missiles usually fired at Israel that had apparently been smuggled into the region.
The rocket, reported earlier in the day to have been a Kassam, failed to explode, according to police, who said that it appeared to be a newer model, one that it was possible to aim more accurately.
The missile, 115 mm in diameter, was taken to a police laboratory for analysis. Forensics experts later confirmed that the rocket had indeed been manufactured outside of the region.
Last year, PA sources claimed Iran had exported its rocket technology to Gaza terrorists, helping them to increase the range of their rockets to more than 20 kilometers. Israeli intelligence sources have since warned that ordnance has been "imported" into the region through the hundreds of smuggler tunnels that honeycomb the area under the border between Gaza and Egypt. Egypt has the ability to control the goods going through the tunnels.
Meanwhile, daily humanitarian aid deliveries to Gaza, adequate to begin with, have increased even more since a decision by the cabinet last month, and are carried out despite rocket attacks fired from the region at Jewish communities on the Israeli side of the crossing. Israel is being criticized for continuing a marine blockade of Gaza, a move that is legal according to international law and which is aimed at preventing missiles and the raw materials for them from reaching the terrorist regime.

Olympia Jews Protest Local Store's Boycott
by Maayana Miskin
Jews in Olympia, Washington held a demonstration Thursday to protest a small local store's decision to boycott Israeli goods. Protesters accused the Olympia Food Co-op's board of making the boycott decision without listening to dissenting viewpoints, and warned that the decision would lead to community tension.
One protester told Washington's News Tribune that the boycott was in essence "asking for the dissolution of Israel. The Co-op had announced that it would not sell Israeli goods until Israel gives in to all Arab demands, including the "right of return" demand, which calls for millions of Arabs who claim to be descendants of refugees to be allowed to return to live in Israel, a move which would effectively put an end to the Jewish state.
The Co-op's boycott is modelled on the Palestinian Authority's much publicized boycott, which calls to ban Israeli goods produced in Judea, Samaria, parts of Jerusalem and the Golan Heights, but doesn't specify areas of Israel.
Protesters bore signs calling on shoppers to avoid the Olympia Food Coop until the store reverses its decision. They said they would return to demonstrate again until the boycott is lifted.
The Coop is located in Olympia, Washington, a city built on land that once belonged to the Coastal Salish native American tribes. No response was received when INN's reporter attempted to ask Olympia owner's opinion on the appropriation of land from its indigenous population..

Anti-Israel Violence at Volleyball Game in Turkey
by Hana Levi Julian
A volleyball game pitting Israel against Serbia in Turkey was surrounded by violence Saturday when pro-Palestinian Authority protesters clashed with Ankara police.
Dozens of the demonstrators showed up for the game, about two blocks away from the hall where an Israeli women's team was scheduled to play in the European Volleyball League.
The match had been closed to the public due to concerns there would be violence by anti-Israel protesters. Heavy security protected the players and the hall; roads were blocked around the area and Israeli security personnel protected the players, who rode in a bus with tinted windows to the indoor stadium. The stadium itself was nearly empty, except for a handful of supporters, family, friends, coaches and staff.
"Don't be dogs of Zionism. G-d will hold you to account," some 100 demonstrators threatened riot control police. They hurled water bottles and poked and rapped on the shields of the police officers with their PA flag poles.
"Esteemed friends," a police commander appealed to the hostile crowd. "Please don't cause trouble."
The demonstrators had been coached by organizers to show up one by one in order to thwart security attempts to prevent the protest. Email messages advising protesters to hide Palestinian Authority flags and banners, and shout slogans when they arrived at the hall, were caught and blocked by security personnel. According to the Associated Press, one message named the hotel housing the Israeli athletes. In 1972, eleven Israeli athletes were killed by terrorists at the Munich Olympics.
Israel lost the match, 3-0. The team is scheduled to play against Turkey on Sunday.
Coach Arie Selinger, who in the past coached the U.S. women's volleyball team to a silver medal in the 1984 Olympics in Los Angeles, and the Dutch men's team to a silver medal in 1992 in Barcelona, said the loss was a "good experience" for his team.
He then thanked the Turkish authorities and praised the tight security measures.
Public sentiment has been unstable towards Israel since Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched harsh criticism of the Jewish State during its three-week winter war against Hamas terrorists in Gaza at the beginning of 2009.
The most recent escalation came when nine members of the terror-linked Turkish IHH organization were killed in a clash with Israeli Navy commandos. The armed terrorists had attacked the soldiers when they boarded the Turkish Mavi Marmara vessel (one of six in an aid flotilla sent to break Israel's maritime blockade of Gaza) in order to redirect that boat and the others to Ashdod Port.
Following the incident, Turkey threatened to cut diplomatic ties, demanding that Israel apologize, compensate the families of the terrorists and lift its blockade of Gaza.

Canada: Anti-Semitic Website Shut Down
by Dan Verbin
After being contacted by Canada's Attorney General, a U.S. Internet company shut down two websites run by a man from the Greater Toronto Area who was charged with hate crimes by the Ontario Provincial Police.
Until early last week, Arizona-based Go Daddy was still hosting the website Filthy Jewish Terrorists, linked to former York University student Salman Hossain. On the site, the 25-year old Hossain called for genocide against Jews, the murder of Canadians and posted anti-Semitic rants under titles such as "The Jews and the West must be nuked" and "The destruction of the West is the only way to exterminate the Jews."
A second website belonging to Hossain that was not online was also taken down by Go Daddy
"There's lot of ISPs out there who may not know who (Salman Hossain) is but my guess is once people are informed about the charges pending against him and his hateful conduct he will find it very difficult to find a home," said Canadian Jewish Congress CEO Bernie Farber.
The OPP charged Hossain with two counts of promoting genocide and three counts of promoting hatred on July 8. However, Hossain had already fled Canada by that point in the investigation.
Police believe that Hossain, a Bangladeshi-Canadian who spent part of his childhood in Ghana before coming to Canada, is currently residing in either Bangladesh or Uganda.
From his location outside the country, he continued to post anti-Semitic screeds on his site until it was shut down this week, including a final post before Go Daddy pulled the plug. In it he blamed "the Jews" for pressuring the Internet host to take down his site, but added he was simply going to move to another server.
"Like I stated earlier, it makes very little difference if they try and take down the server as I am moving it to another country's server where it will be much more difficult to take down and where they really and truly hate Jews," he posted. "So therefore, in either case the Jews have lost and they should go shoot themselves in the head for trying to bring down the information that I have against them."
Hossain's initial attempt to move to a new host proved unsuccessful when a National Post investigation located the server in Carlow, Ireland. After the newspaper contacted the company, Blacknight, Hossain's contract with the ISP was promptly cancelled.
"The content on that website would be illegal in Ireland and in Europe," Blacknight spokesperson Michele Neylon told the National Post. "And as far as our legal counsel is concerned, any website content that incites anybody to murder another human being, be that an individual or mass genocide, would be illegal."
He went on to say that the company's terms of service do not allow for "illegal" websites.
Farber said that CJC, which also sent a notice to Go Daddy, will monitor the situation to ensure Hossain does not find another online home for his hate writing, and will inform any future Internet hosts that Hossain is a fugitive who was charged with hate crimes.
"It is the World Wide Web and anything is possible but we will monitor as best as we are able," said Farber.

Barack Hussein Obama upgrades status of Misc. Arab "mission"
Ugh.
.... Although not fully fledged diplomatic recognition, the upgrade raises the status of Palestinian representation in the U.S. to the same level as PLO representation in many European countries, as well as Canada.
In addition to the name change, the PLO office will now be able to fly the Palestinian flag - although there was some doubt that the organization would gain permission to hoist the Palestinian colors from its headquarters, which it shares with other tenants.
[Ambassador Maen Rashid Areikat, the PLO's representative to the United States] said he hoped the upgrade was "a sign of America's determination to play an active role in bringing about an end to Israel's 43-year-old military occupation of Palestinian lands and the creation of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital".
Maybe someone in the White House press corps will ask Robert Gibbs tomorrow if this is indeed what is signified.

Fatah backs PA president
By KHALED ABU TOAMEH

Council members support refusal to enter unconditional peace talks.
The Fatah Revolutionary Council over the weekend expressed support for Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas's refusal to open direct talks with Israel unconditionally.
Following a stormy meeting in Ramallah, the 122 members of the council also voiced support for Abbas's efforts to reconcile with Hamas.

Fatah urges Abbas to avoid direct talks
Abbas told Fatah members that the US administration was exerting heavy pressure on him to agree to direct talks with Israel without conditions.
Abbas reiterated his opposition to the demand, insisting that Israel first accept the pre- 1967 lines as the future borders of a Palestinian state, freeze all settlement construction and reach agreement with the Palestinians on security issues.
Abbas also criticized US President Barack Obama for being "unclear and vague" with the Palestinians. Abbas said that Obama sent him an oral message that did not include clear answers to questions he had presented to the Americans regarding the proposed negotiations with Israel.
The support of the Revolutionary Council is seen as a moral victory for Abbas. Last week he also won the backing of the PLO Executive Committee on this issue.
"The Revolutionary Council and Fatah stand firmly with the president regarding the direct negotiations," said a statement issued by the council members. "The council also stresses the need to demand that the US administration clarify its position regarding the 1967 borders."
The statement said that direct negotiations with Israel were contingent on recognition of pre-1967 lines as the official borders of a Palestinian state. It noted that these lines include also east Jerusalem, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley on the Palestinian side of the line.
The council urged Abbas to reshuffle the cabinet of Prime Minister Salam Fayyad so that it would include more Fatah ministers.
The council also strongly condemned Hamas for its continued crackdown on Fatah members in the Gaza Strip and called for the release of all those detained in Hamas prisons.
Chief PA negotiator Saeb Erekat said on Saturday that direct negotiations must be preceded by Israeli acceptance of the pre-1967 lines as the basis for a two-state solution.
He did not rule out a land swap.
Erekat said that a cessation of all settlement activities was also a condition for moving to direct talks.
